Firmware Engineer

Buckleigh & Williams are working with a growing wireless communications business to identify an experienced Firmware Engineer for their team. This role would be working in the Bluetooth team to develop high quality embedded software in C language for a range of low energy protocol products. The successful Firmware Engineer will have strong experience in low-level software engineering, including experience at hardware interface level, and an appreciation of electronics / Hardware.

A combination of the following is also required: –

-Previous experience developing high quality embedded C code and test software

-Experience writing high quality documentation

-Interest in learning new technical skills and applying in commercial environment

-Experience of full cycle product development

-Strong embedded C software experience

-Strong experience of micro-controllers

-Ability to work autonomously

Desirable but not essential skills include: –

-Experience with Bluetooth communication

-Other low latency comms protocols

-Application level development (c/c#)


The successful Firmware Engineer will have an educational background including a degree in electronics / software / computer science or similar.
